3/ 2567 Monthly personnel meeting of Language Institute
On Tuesday, from 09:00-12:00 am, at Limcu meeting room, 4th floor, classroom building, MCU. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phrakhrupariyatratabakhunbundit, Limcu director chaired the monthly personnel meeting. Some of the important agendas were as follows: 1. Progress report on implementation of language institute’s plan towards the university council, 2. Annual budgetary framework of 2024. 3. Report on academic writing intensive workshop co-organized with Buddhist Research Institute. 4. Further plan on organizing academic writing and language research projects for lecturers of MCU. 5. Opening short-term English, Chinese, and Japanese for communication course for academic services, and etc.
On the occasion of celebrating the auspicious Birthday of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, King Rama X, Government of India has arranged Gonga Mekong Holy Relics Dhammayatra, the relics of Lord Buddha and his disciples, Arahant Sariputta and Arahant Maha Moggallana were taken to Bangkok during 22nd February to 19th March 2024.
The relics will be displayed in four cities of Thailand. After being displayed at Sanam Luang Royal Grand Palace Ground in Bangkok during 22nd February to 3rd March 2024, the relics were taken to Chiang Mai Province and has been displayed there during 4th- 8th March 2024, to Ubol Ratchathani Province during 9th- 3th March 2024 and to Krabi Province during 14th-18th March 2024.
For this auspicious occasion, with the cooperation between Ministry of Culture, Government of Thailand and Ministry of Culture, Government of India, International Buddhist Confederation, Embassy of India, Thailand and Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University, the International Symposium on Significance of Vipassana Meditation for Wellbeing & Global Peace was held on 27th February 2027 during 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at Silpakorn University Auditorium, Wang Tha Phra.
With the organizing committee seeing that Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) organizes teaching of Buddhist studies which has various activities related to this academic conference, therefore, a letter of invitation was sent to the Venerable Phrakru Pariyatrattanakun Bundit, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Director of the Language Institute, MCU. Asst.Prof.Dr.Jutharat Khumpeerapap, Phramaha Aashir Bajracharya, Lecturers from Language Institute, MCU and a group of graduate students from the International Buddhist Studies College, MCU attended this valuable international academic symposium as well as paying high respects to the relics of the Lord Buddha and the relics of the Arahants for the further prosperity in Dhamma and in life.
