17 December 2564\/2021 at 13:30 PAKNAM TEMPLE: Dr. Phra Sophonvachirabhorn (Sawai Chotiko), Agga Maha Pundita, Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs, along with Dr. Phra Senghurng Narinda, Assistant to the Rector for Foreign Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Phrakhruvinaithon Samut Thavaradhammo, Acting Director, Dhammaduta College, administers, lecturers, staff, students, Overseas Dhammaduta Bhikkhus, and International Cooperation Organizations are together \u00a0to pay respected H.H. Somdet Phra Maha Ratchamangalacharn, (Somdet Chuang), abbot of Wat Pak Nam, Phasi Charoen, Bangkok, who passed away, the age of 96 at Siriraj Hospital.<\/h3>\n

He was born Chuang Sudprasert on 26 Aug 1925 in Bang Phli district, Samut Phrakan Province, who was the second of four children in the family.<\/h3>\n

Somdet Chuang was ordained as a novice at the age of 14 at Sangkha Racha Temple in Lat Krabang district and he was ordained as a monk at 20 on 11 May 1945 at Pak Nam Temple, Bangkok. He was appointed to be the chief abbot of Wat Pak Nam in 1965. Finally, he was assigned to be acting supreme patriarch on 20 Jan 20214 and he passed away peacefully on 9 December 2564\/2021.<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n
